Description:

Edit: Due to mailing issue I'm removing the found object requirement. Just photos and a letter will do.

Note: If you took part in the previous "Let's Explore" swap you can't reuse the same photos you need to explore new place during this month.

What I want you to do for this swap is go for a walk, a hike or a bike ride and go exploring. Doesn't matter where, forest, city, town, park etc whereever you want just make sure it's a safe area. Bring your camera with you and take pictures of anything you think is interesting or may interest your partner (example architecture, public art, landscapes, wildlife etc). You'll need to print your pictures and then write a comment on the back of each about the subject in the picture, letting your partner know what it is or why you took a picture of it. Minimum of 8 photos.

The second thing you need is a letter to send your partner about your trip exploring. What did you do? example "I stopped for a picnic, explored a cave etc" What did you see? example " There where some beautiful blue herons but they wouldn't let me get close enough to take a picture" How did you feel? "The weather was very nice, it was relaxing and I found some cool things" EtC (those are just samples write whatever inspires you regarding your trip)

So 8 or more photos and a letter about your trip.

Requirements: 4.9 or higher rating.

this is such a cute idea - don't forget that with natural items there are quarantine laws when sending overseas. Not wanting to be a kill-joy or anything, but the last thing we want is our packages opened and rifled thru, possibly find the item itself removed.. (I've had this happen to me before with a gift someone sent) :/

Another Australian here...we have strict quarantine laws as Strawberry indicated, so please no natural items for us.

This is an awesome idea! And if I had more time I would definitely sign up. Hoping to catch one like this in the future!

I've enjoyed doing the last 2 and will take part in this one as well. Cazmae55

I like your idea. However, I did not quite understand the description as it gave me the impression that the photos must only feature natural locations such as forests, parks or lakes. The description mentions walks, trips and photography but it does not specify whether exploring cities is allowed. I think I would like to slightly expand the concept and try to combine both nature and urban spaces.

I am wondering if this swap would work for me as I am currently planning a trip to Hungary where I could take plenty of photos. I plan to stroll through the historic streets of Budapest, visit the Fisherman’s Bastion and take some photos along the Danube promenade. I also want to stop by the thermal baths as I think they would make for a very atmospheric shot. Although this might not be the typical subject for this swap I have decided to experiment a bit and visit a casino. I have never been to one before but I came across the website somagyarkaszino.com and learned that there are several interesting venues in Hungary worth visiting. I think it would be fascinating to step inside not as a player but more as an observer and explorer to experience the atmosphere and take some unusual photos.

Also, since I will mostly be in the city you did not mention whether having other people in the photos is allowed.

After that I am also planning to visit Lake Balaton, see Vajdahunyad Castle and explore a few small wine making villages that I have heard about from friends.
