Just a quick question. Does 30 minutes refer to the amount of time spent preparing it, but extra time to cook it? or 30 minutes total time including cooking?

there are 4-5 of us and i only ever have 45 minutes at the most to cook so i throw it together fast and shove it in everyones starved when 6pm rolls around

There are no food allergies in my home and I normally only cook for 3 people but I don't mind making larger meals as the husband and I can always take the leftovers to work the next day =).
