Send your one partner one 3" by 3" square of cloth embroidered with a flower, animal, or insect. Choose the flora or fauna you embroider based on your partner's profile.

You needn't be an experienced embroiderer, this is a good project for a beginner. Newbies are welcome. No flakers please.

I'm excited about this swap, too! Should the edges of the square be hemmed, or should we leave the cut edges as-is?

Beckra - Sorry for the delayed response... I will leave it to you to decide how you want to finish the edges - raw, pinked, hemmed, whichever.

would this need to be on a certain colored cloth? i.e. only white?

Greenplant - Your choice! You can use whichever base fabric you like in whatever color your partner or you like. Go crazy, mix it up, just have fun doing it!
