Comment: I may be a little emotional, right now, but your story got me crying in the club. My dog died like 5 years ago, but after having her for 15 years, I still think I have seen her sitting on the stoop, like she used to do. But it's always just some dark-colored, out-of-place object, instead. I thought I saw her literally just yesterday. I didn't give her a great life and I'm filled with guilt even though I was just a little kid when we got her. Thanks for your story.

Comment: Hi Janet, What a fabulous pocket letter! I absolutely love the photographs and the stories behind each one. Thank you so much for creating it for me. Yes, the Bull Ring is still there but it's changed a lot. Birmingham went through one of its periodic transformations a few years ago and the Bull Ring was pretty much completely rebuilt. Lots more pedestrianized areas now which is good. The current changes include a tram running from New Street Station and connecting with the tram to Wolverhampton at Snow Hill, a complete rebuild of New Street Station, the new Library of Birmingham (fabulous building -- try Googling it!) and a redevelopment of the area where the old library and Paradise Forum used to be. I'm not sure it would feel normal without cranes and diggers! Thanks for the penpal offer. I'll say no -- I'm very bad at keeping up correspondence, even with family, and therefore have decided that it's better not to take on something I'll struggle with. But it was great being your partner for this swap and if I were looking for a penpal, I'd definitely say yes!

The US postal service damaged the envelope.... but it arrived sealed in a bag and I imagine all of the contents were there. My favorite thing ever is the big chunky ring followed by the lipstick container and the wine glass markers. I loved EVERYTHING... however, was there to be a frame inside? if that is the case it was missing when the parcel got to me. Also there were no stickers. Thanks a million! You have made my day!!!!
